As you hike up the trail to the top of Stone Mountain you'll pass lots of carvings in the mountain. This is an example of one that we spotted on our way up. I like to think these are a mixture of several different carvings which are now practically one large carving.

I would never make it up the trail since I would have to stop and read the carvings....how cool!
A whole different slant on the phrase 'written in stone' It would be slow going to hike and check out all the carvings.
very interesting. i agree with Ellen. i would spend more time reading than hiking.
