There were lots of ducks around the restaurant, including these cute little ducklings!

Vortex Springs is one of Florida's many freshwater springs. It's very popular with scuba divers and many dive shops in the southeast use the springs for their certification divers.

The water is very clear and a balmy (ha!) 68 degrees.

While diving in the springs I spotted a baby turtle, lots of carp, and two freshwater eels.

After four dives the first day (including a snorkle dive, sans wetsuit!), a group of us made a quick stop at Ponce de Leon Springs State Park.

After completing two additional dives on Sunday, I am now officially certified as an open water diver!
Until next week . . .
