Although this is officially a Great Blue Heron, it does have a lot of gray in its feathers. He almost blends in with the gray skies we experienced the entire time.

I love his stance - this is a fabulous picture - everything comes together so nicely!
Did anyone see where my Boogie Board went to? I can't see it, dratted seagulls.
This one made me smile--these birds are usually so elegant, but this one almost looks goofy.
What a beautiful shot - it feels so fresh - I love those colors and bold attitude of the Heron.

What a great shot. Wonder why he was standing with his legs apart like that! Looks like the surf was rough, so maybe he was dug in!
