This trip to the beach was the first time I'd seen natural sponges along the shoreline. We saw mushroom sponges, as well as, these larger sponges. This one had been pushed all the way up to the sea oats by the waves. It sure was covered with sand!

I have never seen these either, how cool! Looks like it rolled in the sand a bit! :)
nice shot. I've never seen them eighter. It looks like a face in the sponge.
Nice capture. I really like the soft swirly grasses in the foreground, framing the sponge.
Nice composition, with the grass blades cutting across the frame. I like it.
