This shot makes me giggle. This is Piggie, a 6 month old Pit Bull, who is being fostered by A.UD.I. He's full of energy, as all puppies are, but all he really wants to do is give kisses. I love that in this photo, his eye is about the only thing in focus.

I've posted several pictures of the puppies, but I have yet to show off their Mama. This is Phoenix. She's a 2 year old Dogo Argentino. Once fully grown, she'll weigh approximately 90 pounds. Phoenix is a beautiful dog! She loves to be loved on. Here, she's paws up on my lap trying to weasel her way in for a kiss.

The official title of this photo is "Unnecessary Runtness." This girl is the runt of the litter. While she may be small, she is a pistol! She had so much fun bounding in the leaves and playing with sticks.

If there is one word to sum up the Mardi Gras experience, for me, it is unforgettable. I have never been part of an event where the entire city gets involved. From the parades, the beautiful costumes, and the city of New Orleans itself, my Mardi Gras trip was definitely an experience I'll never forget.


These two shots are from another float from the Krewe of Orpheus parade. Of all the beautiful floats that we saw, this one was my favorite.

Trouble Has Arrived . . .

You guys, there's a puppy in my house! We've been calling her Dora. As in, Dora the Explorer.



She'll only be visiting for a few days, but she sure is making herself right at home!

This little blondie has become my favorite of the 8 pups. He's such a snuggly little guy and loves to bury his nose in the crook of my neck. I adore his wrinkles. It's all I can do not to snatch him up and run away!

These three pictures are some of my favorites from my trip to New Orleans. We spotted this guy as we were driving through the French Quarter. He's a sweet, old, three-legged American Bulldog.


He obviously wants to protect his golf ball at all costs.


Here, he's dropped his golf ball.


The golf ball rolled right underneath our car. How can you not love his face? We wanted to jump out of the car to love on him!

We ate a lot of good food during the trip to New Orleans, including a stop at the world famous Cafe Du Monde for beignets and cafe au lait. However, my favorite place was Mother's. It was so good we ate there twice!

This is Boss. Boss is a 12 year old American Pit Bull Terrier who is as sweet as they come. He loves his basketball, as seen by its worn and deflated exterior.
