Classic (93 of 365)
Recognize these, by chance? It's a bookshelf full of Little Golden Books! "The Poky Little Puppy" and "The Little Red Hen" were two of my favorite books when I was a little girl. So, for me, these are classic children's books.
They've been around since 1942 and have an interesting story behind them. I had no idea that many of the now famous children's book authors also created, or illustrated, Little Golden Books.

I loved all those little golden books growing up! What a perfect choice for the theme! Many of those were also my boys favorites too!
A classic example of the classics! I love the slightly abstract feel to your shot...
I loved them too! I still do! hee hee Fantastic shot for theme...
I remember these books! Nice shot.
Great shot! Loved the pokey little puppy. And many others that were favorites to be read many times to my daughter.
Hands up all the children who had some of these. - My Hand is up! great memory and take, read them to us Mummy.
My hand is up with Ron's! Classics for sure, and creative choice for the theme.
You are so clever to use these for the theme! Nice work!
My children grew up with these books. So of course I recognized the photo *once you told me what it was*!! Otherwise, I thought it was a drape and I would see why you were taking photos of drapes!! lol
You couldn't have found a better fit for the theme if you tried! Nice job!
Those were the first books I remember reading! I loved "Rabbit and His Friends" and "The Ugly Duckling". I wonder where those books are now? ;-)
