Barns can be pretty ordinary sights in the country. This one is just below the historic Scott Mansion in Tellico Plains, TN. With it's beautiful view, it's anything but ordinary!

This is Ellie. She belongs to my cousin and came to visit during my family's Christmas celebration. Ellie, as you can see from the picture, is always moving. Out of 33 pictures I took of her only one managed to be in focus!

Just to give you an idea, this is the fully decorated living room at my Mom's house. See what I mean about having a gazillion decorations? This is just part of one room!

This is my Mom's Christmas tree. She always has a beautiful one. The Santa Claus in the back was meant to be a joke (because she has a gazillion Christmas decorations). The joke was on me. She loved it! Go figure.

Pampered (220 of 365)

This is Molly. She belongs to one of my Mom's neighbors. However, if you were to ask my Mom, Molly is her dog. Every morning she comes to visit my Mom and Grandmother while they enjoy their morning coffee.

Thanksgiving morning she joined me for a little photoshoot. She is one of the sweetest dogs!

From My Past (219 of 365)

Before I was born, this land belonged to, and was farmed by, my Grandfather (along with my aunts, uncles, and my Mom). Now, most of the acreage is used as a dairy and soybean farm.

Powerful (218 of 365)

Bald River Falls is located in the Cherokee National Forest where the Bald River empties into the Tellico River. It's a beautiful, and powerful, 100 foot waterfall. Growing up, we drove to Bald River Falls all the time. My favorite times to visit the falls were after heavy rains or snowy weather.

I never thought much about the view from home until I moved away. I love how this field changes through the year. It's absolutely beautiful in morning light.

I grew up across the street from this dairy farm. In fact, all this land used to belong to my Grandfather.

Last Friday, we enjoyed a beautiful sunset and I meandered about taking photos. I ended up with nearly 30 bovine visitors along the fence line. Seriously. They were lined up in front of me.

This one turned out to be one of my favorites!
