Action Shot (211 of 365)
Most trips home to Tennessee include a trip to the mountains. East Tennessee is a short drive to the Smoky Mountains National Park or the Cherokee National Forest.
This is Baby Falls within the Cherokee National Forest. The falls, at 15 feet, are a popular spot for kayakers (and brave jumpers!). There were a slew of kayakers on the river this weekend and we watched several make their way safely over the falls.

Motion Blur (208 of 365)
A little bit of motion blur in this waterfall shot. It was rainy the afternoon we were hiking in the canyon, so it's definitely not the best shot!

Comfort Foods (207 of 365)
Last week I made a pot of Spicy Corn Chowder. Yummy soup is always good on a rainy and cool Fall day!

Strong (206 of 365)
A warning sign at the top of the Cloudland Canyon Waterfalls Trail. It doesn't look all that strong, does it?

School (205 of 365)
This is the entry to the Devil Spring System which has several miles of underground caves to be explored. This system is accessible at Ginnie Springs, the location of the latest school I attended in order to finish up my cavern diver & Master Diver certification.

The Arts (202 of 365)
Widespread Panic is currently celebrating their 25th Anniversary. In addition to holding food drives at all of their concerts, WSP is heavily involved with Tunes for Tots. Each year they hold a TFT benefit concert which has helped to raise over $650,000 for Arts education in public schools.

Every Day Sights(198 of 365)
Living in the Atlanta area definitely has its benefits. One of those is being so close to the North Georgia Mountains and being able to see sights like these pretty frequently.
This is Amicalola Falls, at 729 feet tall, they're the tallest cascades in the Southeast.
