There were hardly any folks on the river. Parts of the swamp were closed due to low water levels. Once our canoes passed the john-boat line, we were the only folks around for miles.

The Weekend (56 of 365)

This past weekend I knocked off a bucket list item. I spent the weekend camping at Stephen C. Foster State Park inside the Okefenokee Swamp. It was a lot of fun! We camped at a pioneer camp site in the swamp. Thankfully, we saw no snakes! Saturday was spent on the Suwanee River canoeing a little over 8 miles. We saw lots of gators and birds. The neatest thing we saw was a mama box turtle laying her eggs.

All in all, it was a fun and relaxing weekend!

Black (55 of 365)

This is Ryan Palmer taking a shot from the tees at the first hole "Tea Olive." I chose this shot, not because Palmer is geared up in black, but because as professionals, these guys play from the black tees!

Challenge/Challenging (54 of 365)

This is a shot of #16 "Redbud" at Augusta National Golf Club. Augusta National is known to be one of the most beautiful, and most challenging, golf courses in the United States.

During the practice rounds, many of the golfers attempt to skip a golf ball or two from the right bank of the pond (which you can't see in this picture) onto the green which is on the left. It's a lot of fun to watch the players try to make it onto the green and to listen to the cheers and groans from the crowd.

The Letter G (53 of 365)

G is for Golf! I had the chance to attend one of the practice rounds of the Masters which is held each year at Augusta National Golf Club. It was a beautiful, yet horribly windy day!

This is a shot of three-time Masters champion Phil Mickelson and his coach Butch Harmon on the practice tees. Unfortunately, Mickelson chose not to play any holes on the course, so this was our only chance to see him.

Over the past few months I've been slowly putting together a bucket list for myself. It's a pretty good mixture of things from travel, to sports, to cooking and wine.

A little bit of tight passage. Crownover had several tight passages. Lots of fun to crawl through!

And, to give you an idea of the small passages we crawled through, here is a picture of yours truly taken by one of the other cavers in our group.

Group or Groupings (49 of 365)

A bat hanging among a group of stalactites. There were so many bats in this cave! With the low ceilings, we had to really watch our helmets to make sure we didn't knock any off the ceilings and injure them.

Entrance (48 of 365)

Last weekend I went with a group of friends to Crownover Salt Peter Cave for a muddy adventure. It had been several years since I'd been underground and I had so much fun!

This is a shot of the entrance which I took as we were heading out of the cave. It looks a bit deceiving because of the noise in the photo, but we were able to climb in and out, rather than having to drop in.

Also, a note on the upcoming cave pictures. They were taken with my point and shoot Panasonic Lumix.
